Cris Scorza is the Helena Rubinstein Chair of Education at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where she leads innovative strategies that shape the future of museum learning. She directs interpretation, public programs, academic partnerships, and social impact initiatives connecting schools, youth, families, and communities. A champion of bilingual and Latinx engagement, Scorza is expanding the Whitney’s Spanish-language and access programs to foster equity and belonging. Drawing on experience at MoMA, the New Museum, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and MCA San Diego, she designs forward-looking programs that inspire inquiry, empower diverse audiences, and redefine how museums nurture creativity and civic connection.

Dr. Betty A. Rosa is the Commissioner of Education and President of the University of the State of New York. Prior to serving as Commissioner and Interim Commissioner, she served as the Chancellor and Member of the Board of Regents. Dr. Rosa is a nationally recognized education leader and received an Ed. M. and Ed. D. in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University.

She also holds two other Master of Science in Education degrees, one in Administration and Supervision and the other in Bilingual Education from the City College of New York and Lehman College, respectively, and a B.A. in psychology from the City College of New York. She has more than 30 years of instructional and administrative experience with an expertise in inclusive education, cooperative teaching models, student achievement, and policy implementation.

Shaude Tyson is a third-grade special education teacher at 262 El Hajj Malik El Shabazz Elementary School and creates a learning environment grounded in collaboration, confidence-building, and experiential learning. Shaude is the school’s UFT Chapter Leader, advocating for teachers and collaborating with her principal to advance school initiatives, such as transforming P.S. 262 into a PROSE (Progressive Redesign Opportunity Schools for Excellence) School, allowing it to change the UFT contract and New York City Public School regulations to create school community driven innovations. She is the Student Council coordinator and was chosen for the UFT AI Ambassadors cohort.
